Know Me

My life in entertainment development begins long before my professional career.

I am the son of recording engineer and music producer. Gary Dominguez, whose career included recording and touring with the likes of Dolly Parton, Paul McCartney, Roy Orbison, Keith Valor, and Chet Atkins. Gary later became the Studio Manager at the historic Coast Recorders studio in San Francisco, working with breakout artists such as The Lloyds and Faith No More.

As a youth, I spent hundreds of hours with my father in recording studios, absorbing the discipline, witness to collaboration, and the creative rigor that would shape my instincts as a creative developer.

My formative years were defined by parallel tracks of creativity and responsibility. Through the Boy Scouts of America, I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at the early age fourteen.

I studied music, piano, trumpet, and later guitar; I participated in school drama classes, learning theater craft and improvisation skills. Eventually serving as Assistant Director on a production of, A Streetcar Named Desire.

I worked as manager for a family-owned video rental business, and I played in a band (name omitted). These experiences reinforced self-direction, craft, and creative accountability.

I attended Ohlone College studying fine art foundations and television production before relocating to San Francisco full-time to study digital art and motion picture production at the Academy of Art University.

During this period, I also apprenticed as a tattoo artist at the legendary Sacred Rose Tattoo parlor. I performed as a professional swing dancer, and co-founded the SF based RAB social club, The Fivehundereds.

My career in games begins in the Bay Area in the late 1990s at Psygnosis, SEGA of America, and Konami of America, and I was proud member of the SEGA Dreamcast Launch Team.

After relocating to Hollywood, I continued my game career at THQ, Legacy Interactive, and 7 Studios. At this time, I became fascinated with martial arts, trained Vale Tudo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Master, Jean Jacques Machado; later I was co-founder and ring-official for the all-female Wrestling organization, The Lucha Locas.

In 2006 I returned to San Francisco to join LucasArts, a defining chapter of my career where I worked as a level designer, narrative designer, and writer; studied screenplay structure under Lucasfilm educators and I joined the Writers Guild of America West; sharing a Nomination for Outstanding Video Game Writing for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

In the years since, I have continued to evolve across studios, platforms, and business models; working with Crystal Dynamics, Zynga, Fifth Journey, and eventually founding Rogue Theory Studio for independent and client-based game development and consulting. I expanded my technical practice of Unreal Engine by training online via Udemy and Ascendant Studios. Recently I have collaborated with international studio Sperasoft on several creative concepts.

In 2023, I founded Alibi Entertainment LLC and remain active as an Independent Creative Developer and Creative Writer, developing an original game IP, writing spec screenplays, and collaborating on a graphic novel concept.

I continue to pursue my music practice and visual artistry through digital painting and stencil paintings, reinforcing a direct relationship with visual language, composition, and iconography. Alongside this work, I have committed to open-water swimming as a disciplined practice of endurance, focus, and mental clarity.

Discovery, Creation, and Expression are core principles which define my perspectives, my values, and continually drives my pursuit of truth through artistic integrity.

More to come.
