At Fifth Journey, I served as Game Design Director and Principal Game Designer, leading creative development for original and licensed mobile games in collaboration with major entertainment licensors and external development studios. I was responsible for establishing creative vision, defining principal design frameworks, and guiding projects from early concept through production.

I worked closely with the CCO, licensors, and key stakeholders to ensure licensed properties were handled with authenticity while remaining viable within free-to-play mobile formats. My role included pitching new concepts, authoring design and narrative documentation, presenting creative roadmaps to executives and partners, and supporting teams through milestone planning and course correction.

In parallel, I contributed hands-on design and narrative work, including feature design, core loops, progression systems, and character development, while coordinating with production and engineering to align scope, schedule, and creative intent.

My work at Fifth Journey reinforced a strong foundation in IP adaptation, partner collaboration, and multi-project creative oversight.

  • Defined core gameplay loops, progression systems, combat structure, and FTUE strategy

  • Contributed narrative design as part of the writers room in collaboration with MGM and original RoboCop film writers (see below)

  • Oversaw franchise adaptation, brand integration, and continuity to ensure authenticity to the source material

Writers room collaboration included direct work with original RoboCop creators.

  • Acted as Star Wars IP consultant, overseeing movie adaptation and brand integration in collaboration with Lucasfilm to ensure continuity and authenticity

  • Developed internal design tools and workflows to support scalable content creation across design pods
